Ben Heine was born in 1983 in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, currently living and working in Brussels, Belgium. He is best known for his original series “Pencil vs camera”, “Digital Circlism” and “Flesh and Acrylic“. He invented and popularize the concept of pencil vs camera in April 2010.
Pencil vs Camera concept involves him taking a photograph and merging together with his hand-drawn sketches to produce an optical illusion. His combination of sketches and camera is indeed something we don’t see everyday.
What’s so special about pencil vs camera? You have to understand that anybody can sketch and paint, but not everybody can come with these genius combinations. His Art works are nice and inspiring.
